Police said “around 10 people” were killed at a school on Tuesday, in what has been described as the worst mass shooting in Sweden’s history. The suspected perpetrator is among the dead.

A mass shooting incident at the Risbergska school in Orebro, central Sweden, left at least five people wounded, with the suspected shooter reportedly among the injured. The shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m. local time, prompting an immediate police response.

The crime scene suffered extensive damage, complicating efforts to identify victims and determine the exact toll, Orebro police said

Police have urged the public to stay away from the district of Västhaga, where the school is located, with students being accommodated in other schools.
