The New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians play Game 3 of their American League Championship Series on Thursday at Progressive Field.

Anthony Volpe has seen only one Yankees World Series victory in his lifetime, but even as a kid, he recognized the weight of expectation. The pinstripes were synonymous with victory, and anything short of a championship was considered failure.

After a second straight inconsistent regular season, Volpe has had mostly good at-bats at the plate in the first two games of the ALDS.
