You may need to free up some space on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to run all the AI features that Apple has introduced.

Apple has raised the storage requirement for using its new Apple Intelligence features, to 7GB on devices running iOS 18.2.

The jump in storage needs first appeared with the introduction of iOS 18.2 and macOS Sequoia 15.2, which was first made available to the public in early December and expanded on the first set of Apple Intelligence features that debuted with iOS 18.

The amount of space you need to reserve in your Apple devices for AI features has almost doubled in the last few months.

Now, with the release of iOS 18.2, that has nearly doubled in just a few months. A support page on the Apple website, spotted by 9to5Mac, reveals that supported iPhones, iPads and Macs must sacrifice 7GB of storage for the extra functionality.
