A former passenger on board a Royal Caribbean cruise filed a lawsuit against the company saying that the cruise line could have done more to do more to protect passengers.

Royal Caribbean faces a class-action lawsuit for a hidden camera incident on its Symphony of the Seas ship. Employee Arvin Joseph Mirasol recorded passengers, including children, and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

A class action lawsuit filed by law firm Lipcon, Margulies, & Winkleman on behalf of passengers alleges the cruise line did not do enough to protect customers.

A Royal Caribbean employee was sentenced to 30 years in prison in August for placing hidden cameras inside passenger bedrooms.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of a guest and “all other similarly situated passengers” in the Southern District of Florida on Tuesday.

The federal class action lawsuit alleges up to 960 Royal Caribbean passengers may have been affected.
