With Chad Duell officially off the General Hospital canvas, Port Charles is going to look a lot different without Michael Corinthos.

Chad Duell‘s exit from General Hospital was shocking, fiery and epic. Duell, 37, wrapped up his character’s story on Monday, January 6, when Michael Corinthos caught on fire after an explosion.

In his conversation with Benard, Duell acknowledged that his father’s recent passing, which he said he had yet to truly process or find closure with, factored in to his decision to leave GH.

Duell’s well-earned reputation as an on-set jokester has also brightened MacMullen’s work life over the years. “Chad is extremely funny; he’s a goofball,” she says affectionately.
