Residents in Bradenton and Palmetto may have noticed fleets of unfamiliar law enforcement vehicles in town after Hurricane Milton.

The state of Florida will open four “insurance villages” featuring major insurance companies to help Floridians impacted by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton file claims and ask questions.

"Alligators may be observed more frequently in flooded areas after a hurricane or tropical storm," the Florida FWC warns.

Hurricane Milton had different impacts on various golf courses along its path across the Florida Peninsula last Wednesday and Thursday, and some courses have reopened fully while others are waiting for water to drain before welcoming players.

Florida counties hard hit by Hurricane Milton are returning to a semblance of normalcy, with power restored to most areas on Monday, gas stations reopening and students preparing to return to school.

Most of the animals were evacuated before Hurricane Helene. Despite the owners' efforts, some animals died in the storms.

Residents face an uphill battle as they rebuild from the back-to-back storms that devastated Florida communities.
