Kevin Magnussen will continue to remain part of Haas as a test driver, the team have confirmed. Magnussen was dropped by the American outfit after the 2024 F1 season, with team boss Ayao Komatsu opting for an all-new driver line-up.

Kevin Magnussen, a veteran of more than 180 Formula 1 Grands Prix, has joined BMW M Motorsport’s L.M.D.h. program in sports cars. “I’ve always had a passion for, you know, all sorts of motorsport races, and with the BMW deal that allows me to go and explore and try and win some of these big classic endurance races,” he said.
Magnussen stays connected to Haas with 2025 roles
Komatsu did not disclose who else might serve as reserve drivers for Haas in 2025, but the responsibilities are expected to be shared among Magnussen, and the Toyota affiliated drivers Ritomo Miyata and Ryo Hirakawa, despite the latter being Alpine's reserve driver.
