Week 17 became a game that didn't affect the standings for the Detroit Lions. Win or lose, they had to win in Week 18 to claim the NFC North and the No. 1 seed. As such, many thought the Lions would rest their players against the San Francisco 49ers.

The outcome was meaningless for the teams on the field, but the 49ers-Lions game cost one sportsbook dearly on Monday night in Week 17.

To make matters worse, offensive lineman Spencer Burford, who was supposed to start at left tackle with Williams and his backup Jaylon Moore on IR for the season, is listed as ‘out’ on the injury report with a calf injury he sustained in the team’s Week 16 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
