Cowboys designate DaRon Bland for return, put Marshawn Kneeland on IR
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said on Tuesday that cornerback DaRon Bland "has a real chance" of returning to action in this weekend's game against the Lions and he took a step to getting back on the field Wednesday.

It was already established after Kneeland was diagnosed with a partially torn lateral meniscus Monday that he would have to sit out at least four games, so his move to injured reserve isn't a surprise. Carl Lawson and Tyrus Wheat figure to be the primary beneficiaries of Kneeland's extended absence in terms of playing time.
