The Dallas Mavericks fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Christmas on Wednesday afternoon, nearly erasing a 28-point Minnesota lead before falling 105-99. Dallas got the lead down to two in the final minute, but they couldn't ever re-take the lead.

Mavericks star Luka Doncic has been ruled out for the rest of their Christmas Day matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves because of an injury.

Luka Dončić, who led the Dallas Mavericks past the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals last spring, had to exit the teams’ Christmas matchup early. Late in the second quarter, Dončić limped off the court after suffering what the team said was a left calf strain.
