The British automaker’s longtime collaborator, Richard Mille, has just unveiled the RM 65-01 McLaren Automatic Split-Seconds Chronograph W1. The bold watch is the fourth born out of a years-long partnership between the two brands, both of which are among the most respected names in their respective industries.

It comes from McLaren partner Richard Mille and it’s called the RM 65-01 Automatic Split-Seconds Chronograph McLaren W1. Quite the mouthful, I know. The RM 65-01, to use a handy abbreviation, is inspired in several ways by the McLaren W1. In fact, the Richard Mille design team saw an early clay model of the W1 a full two years ago, back in 2022.

The RM 65-01 McLaren W1, unveiled this week, is the fourth collaboration in a 10-year deal between Richard Mille and McLaren.

As for the structure itself, the 480-piece 65-01 has a vertical clutch, a pair of six-column wheels and a variable winding rotor. There’s grade five titanium along the baseplate, which is attached to black and grey-coloured titanium bridges that sit atop two different bezels.
