A group that played a key role in Donald Trump’s voter outreach to the Arab American community alongside his allies is rebranding itself after the president said that the U.S. would “take over” the Gaza Strip.

“Arab-Americans for Trump firmly rejects President Donald J Trump’s suggestion to remove — voluntarily or forcibly — Palestinians in Gaza to Egypt and Jordan,” said Dr Bishara Bahbah, the national chair of the group that helped Trump register a remarkable performance with traditionally Democratic-leaning Arab voters.

But neither they nor anyone else could have predicted President Donald Trump’s astonishing plan to end their misery: the eviction of the entire Palestinian population and a full American takeover to redevelop Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East”.
