Sporting's hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout stage suffer a blow as they are beaten by already-eliminated RB Leipzig in Germany.

RB Leipzig battled past visitors Sporting 2-1 on Wednesday to earn their first victory in seven Champions League matches and dent their opponents' hopes of a top eight finish.

No team have ever lost four times in the same Champions League season after scoring first, though, and Leipzig ensured that remained the case despite seeing Sesko's opener cancelled out
