Somebody goofed — and now AMD’s unannounced Ryzen 9000X3D desktop processors have been partially revealed. But like Intel’s new Arrow Lake desktop CPUs, it doesn’t look like they’ll be a huge performance improvement on their predecessors. If so, that’s a shame given how poorly received AMD’s Ryzen 9000 was to begin with.

AMD's latest Zen 5 Ryzen chips are here, starting with the Ryzen 9000-series CPUs. Now, AMD is launching its latest, long-expected Ryzen AI 300 chips to the public, codenamed Strix Point. AMD today launched its third-generation Ryzen AI Pro 300 Series mobile processors.

While not yet released, a benchmark leak suggests the upcoming Ryzen 7 9800X3D will have a big clock speed advantage over its non-X3D counterpart.
