The release date for arguably one of the most anticipated games around has emerged, albeit in low-key fashion. According to an apparent leak on the PlayStation Store — perhaps about as official as you can get without a splashy announcement elsewhere — Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is set to arrive on August 28.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater may have a release date of Aug. 28, 2025. That's according to a trailer that went up seemingly early on PlayStation Network (PSN), revealing when the game is planned to arrive across Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5.

The trailer ends with a really quite upsetting depiction an Ape Escape monkey slapping its butt. From this we can assume, as Eurogamer did for me, that this indicates the return of the Snake vs Monkey minigame, for completion’s sake.
