Akron is now 8-0 at home this season, remains unbeaten in the MAC and owns a four-game winning streak. Toledo had its three-game winning streak snapped and suffered its first MAC loss of the season.

Toledo took an early 12-4 lead against Akron and kept their lead between six and 10 points through much of the half. A Scott 3-pointer completed a rally and got the Zips as close as 29-28 with 4:38 left in the half, but the Rockets outscored them 13-2 the rest of the way. The Zips trailed 42-30 at halftime, their biggest deficit of the game.
