A male Tren de Aragua gang member in Aurora, Colorado, dressed in drag — including a long, voluminous wig and woman’s knit hat — last week try to evade suspicion as cops hunted for the perpetrators of a brutal kidnapping, according to local authorities.

Tren de Aragua has a presence in at least 19 states as of December, which is up from 16 in November, indicating the gang's expansion within the United States.

Local and federal law enforcement are working to identify members of Tren de Aragua (TdA) in Colorado. But determining whether someone is a member of the notorious gang is challenging.
