Orchard Lake St. Mary's star Trey McKenney earned a spot Monday in the 48th McDonald's All American Games, to be played April 1 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. McKenney, who play next season at Michigan, is joined on the East roster by Darius Acuff Jr., a 6-foot-2 guard from IMG Academy in Florida who also starred at Detroit Cass Tech.

"Trey (McKenney) embodies everything it means to be a Michigan Man," U-M coach Dusty May said. "He has been taught how to play the game the right way"

St. Mary’s has been named to the prestigious McDonald’s All-America team, one of 24 elite prep seniors to make the cut. McKenney is U-M’s first to make the roster since 2021, when Caleb Houstan, Moussa Diabate,

McKenney becomes Michigan men's basketball's 24th signee to earn McDonald's All-America status, and the first to do so since former head coach Juwan Howard signed three in the 2021 recruiting class: Caleb Houston, Moussa Diabate and Kobe Bufkin.

Orchard Lake St. Mary's standout and Michigan signee Trey McKenney hasn't played since sustaining a broken a bone in his palm in a game on Jan. 9.
