Winter Weather Warnings in Seven States as 12 Inches of Snow to Hit
Winter weather advisories or winter storm warnings were in place for seven states early Tuesday morning, with the National Weather Service forecasting up to 12 inches of snow for some parts of the country.

A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 3:01 p.m. valid from 10 p.m. until Tuesday 10 a.m. for Warren County.

The Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory that predicts 1 to 3 inches of snow in Monroe, Livingston and Allegany counties, 2 to 4 inches of snow in parts of Orleans, Genesee, Niagara and Erie counties and 3 to 6 inches of snow in parts of Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and southern Erie counties.

On Monday at 9:19 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory valid from 7 p.m. until Tuesday 10 a.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie as well as Crawford County.
High Wind Warning, Winter Weather Advisory issued for WNY
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for all of Western New York, from 7 p.m. Monday evening into tomorrow morning due to the combination of several inches of snow and strong winds for very poor visibility and near whiteout conditions at times. Strong winds will also cause a rapid water level rises along the eastern shores of Lake Erie.
