The Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team is coming off another NCAA Tournament season, but one that ended before the super-regional round.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska baseball and softball teams earned spots on national preseason polls on Monday. Nebraska baseball opens the 2025 season as the No. 24 team in the county, according to D1Baseball. The Huskers won the Big Ten Tournament title and made another NCAA Regional appearance during last season’s campaign.

Vanderbilt baseball was ranked No. 16 in the D1Baseball preseason poll. The Commodores were previously ranked No. 15 in the Perfect Game poll released last week. This is Vanderbilt's lowest-ever preseason ranking in the D1Baseball poll,
