Bruins Tough Guy & Lightning Defender Have Epic Fight
Boston Bruins forward Mark Kastelic suffered an upper-body injury during the club's Jan. 9 contest against the Tampa Bay Lightning and has not played since. This was after he was cross-checked in the head by Lightning defenseman Emil Lilleberg. Kastelic also dropped the gloves with him following it.
Bruins exact revenge over Lightning, win 6-2
For one night anyone, it felt like old times on Causeway. With bad blood spilling all over TD Garden between two teams that played a week ago, the Boston Bruins sprinted to a 4-0 second period lead and hung on for a 6-2 victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Short-handed Bruins pull away from Lightning for critical win
Two Bruins scored their first goals of the season as Boston jumped out to a big lead early and tacked on two short-handed, empty-net goals late to pull away for a big division win. Parker Wotherspoon scored the first goal of his career early and Andrew Peeke notched his first as a Bruin late in the 6-2 win Thursday at TD Garden.
Bruins Forward & Lightning Defender Have Big Fight
During the final seconds of the third period, Bruins forward Mark Kastelic and Lightning defenseman Emil Lilleberg had a big fight. Kastelic went to throw a hit on Lilleberg after the Lightning defenseman passed the puck and was met with a cross-check to the face. Immediately after this, Kastelic and Lilleberg dropped the gloves.
Important Bruins Forward Could Miss Lightning Matchup
The Bruins are already shorthanded in this contest, as Charlie McAvoy and Mark Kastelic were placed on injured reserve earlier today. In addition, Hampus Lindholm is still not ready to return to the lineup.
