President-elect Trump’s allies in Congress proposed a new bill dubbed ‘Make Greenland Great Again.' It's meant to expedite a negotiation process with Denmark, which protects Greenland’s autonomy, given Trump's repeated desire to buy the Arctic territory.

The prime minister said that while Greenlanders do not want to become Americans, “the reality is we are going to work with the U.S. — yesterday, today and tomorrow.”

Greenland's Prime Minister Múte Egede expressed readiness to work closely with the U.S. on defense and natural resources while firmly asserting the islanders' desire not to become part of America. This response follows President-elect Donald Trump's musings about acquiring the Arctic territory.
