Months after Kyiv and Seoul began sounding the alarm over North Korea’s growing role in the Ukraine war, Kyiv now says Pyongyang’s troops are being killed and captured in battles with Ukrainian forces.

Ukraine’s president released a video of the two soldiers being interrogated, revealing they knew little about the war they were sent to fight in.

Ukrainian special forces have captured two North Korean troops, Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday. The wounded soldiers have been transported to Kyiv for questioning by intelligence services, the Ukraine president said, in what is believed to be a first since North Korean troops entered the war on the side of Russia.
