Boston has been rocked by an unlikely earthquake - with baffled Massachusetts residents shocked that their houses were shaking. According to the United States Geological Survey, a 4.1 magnitude quake hit 13km south east of York Harbor in Maine but people across the region have felt the tremors just a few days after New Jersey was shaken.

A 3.8 magnitude earthquake shook parts of New England on Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake occurred around 10:30 a.m. about 8 miles of the coast of York Harbor in Southern Maine,

It felt as if the furnace was blowing up, a truck was hitting our building and our solar panels were falling off – all at the same time,” said a resident less than 10 miles from the quake’s epicenter.
