President Murmu and PM Modi attended the Dussehra event organised by the Shri Dharmik Leela Committee in Delhi's Ramlila Maidan.

Dussehra festival also marks the preparations for Diwali, the important festival of lights, which is celebrated twenty days after Vijayadashami.

The organisers of Sri Dharmik Leela Committee presented with a ”trishul” (trident) to the president and a ”gada” (mace) to the prime minister in a ceremonial welcome at the Dussehra programme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday attended the Dussehra celebrations at Madhav Das Park, Red Fort in Delhi. The two leaders were also seen symbolically performing Ravan Dehan (burning of effigies of demon King Ravan) by shooting an arrow from a bow.
