Homeowners told 12News they could see the fire burning from their front door, a surreal sight as fires continue to burn in nearby southern California.

PHOENIX — Crews contained a brush fire on the north side of South Mountain Saturday night. Officials say the fast-moving fire burned approximately one acre. Crews were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading. Officials say the fire never threatened any homes or structures.
