The same storm system that brought snow and sleet to the area Saturday will bring a surge of warmth, but also more rain to the area as we head through Sunday.

Sunday begins dry with patchy fog. Rain returns after 10 a.m. as the strong cold front crosses the area. Along this front, expect heavy downpours, gusty winds and rumbles of thunder. There is a very low risk for an isolated tornado in southern Maryland due to the high wind shear environment.
