Five Chicago Walgreens stores will soon close their doors for good, a company spokesperson confirmed to NBC Chicago Tuesday.

Five Walgreens stores will shutter their doors in Chicago next month, as part of a nationwide series of closures announced by the drugstore chain last year.

Walgreens will permanently shut the doors of 12 of its San Francisco locations. The closures are scheduled for late February, according to the company.
