Beyoncé has pledged $2.5 million to helping those impacted by the ongoing wildfires devastating the Los Angeles area, she announced Sunday via the Instagram page for her charitable foundation, BeyGOOD.

The historic Los Angeles wildfires tragically continue to burn, but as efforts to tame the blazes continue, some are putting their money where their mouths are when it comes to picking up the pieces. That includes Beyoncé, whose BeyGood foundation just announced a $2.5 million donation to support relief efforts.

With the $2.5 million donation, Beyoncé and her team joining the growing list of those pledging support to relief efforts. On January 9, actress Jamie Lee Curtis pledged $1 million herself, and Paris Hilton — who did lose her own home in the Palisades fire — launched an emergency fund through her nonprofit, 11:11 Media Impact.

Beyoncé ’s BeyGOOD Foundation on Sunday said it would donate $2.5 million to the L.A. Fire Relief Fund to help those in Altadena and Pasadena who have lost homes, as well as to “churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires” (Beyoncé and her husband, Jay Z, live in a $200 million Malibu mansion).
