Soon to be 37 years of age, quarterback Matthew Stafford is seemingly on the back nine of his NFL career. However, that has not stopped him from wanting to play in 2025. In fact, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport,

Stafford revised his contract with the Rams ahead of last season -- in a rather lengthy process -- and will now carry a $49.6 million cap number into the 2025 campaign. L.A. can save $27 million by trading him in a post-June 1 move, and $23 million as a post-June 1 cut, per Over The Cap.

Marissa Myers of TWSN predicts the Rams will add Minnesota Vikings free agent quarterback Daniel Jones this March as Stafford’s eventual replacement. Here was her take on the potential fit with Jones, Sean McVay and the Rams:
