Samsung Electronics has launched its new Galaxy S25 series, featuring Qualcomm chips and AI capabilities from Google's model. Despite competition, Samsung is focusing on enhancing AI features like Bixby and personalized experiences to boost sales.

Just a day before Google’s acquisition announcement, Samsung was showing off the Project Moohan headset at its Galaxy S25 launch event in San Jose, California. While attendees weren’t able to use the headset (or even touch it, via The Verge ), the hardware was on display for all to see.

The displays are the same as last year: 6.2 inches on the S25 and 6.7 inches on the S25 Plus, peaking at 2,600 nits of brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. The cameras are identical, too. There’s a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultrawide, and a 3x telephoto, with a familiar 12-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.

The biggest overall changes to the design between the two Samsung Galaxy phones is likely the color options to choose from when making the upgrade. The Samsung S25 comes in Navy, Icyblue, Mint, Silver Shadow, Blueblack, Coralred, and Pinkgold. The Samsung S23 only has four color options to choose from.

During Samsung's Galaxy S25 Unpacked Stream earlier this week, the new Galaxy S25 Series lineup was announced. They include the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. This new lineup arrives on Feb. 7, but preorders are up already.

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. QCOM recently announced that Samsung, one of the major smartphone manufacturers in the world, has deployed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for its S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra devices.
