Alabama Shakes are getting back on the road. The Grammy-winning band has been on hiatus since 2018, but in recent weeks the group has teased a comeback on social media. Last month, they announced their participation in the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival,

Alabama Shakes -- the indie rock band known for songs like “Hold On” and “Always Alright” -- have announced their first tour in eight years. The Shakes tour kicks off July 16 in Chicago. On July 25, the Athens-founded band is scheduled to play a home state show at Birmingham’s currently under construction Coca-Cola Amphitheater.

Now, following a couple of solo releases from Howard that included Milwaukee shows like a Summerfest stop last year, the band is reuniting for its first official concerts since 2017. The reunion tour of course brings them back to Milwaukee, to play the Pabst Theater Group-operated Miller High Life Theatre Sept. 4.
