The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for portions of northwestern Connecticut from 6 a.m. Friday through 1 p.m.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for two counties in Southern Connecticut, and a hazardous weather outlook for the remainder.

Connecticut is due for more snow this week, according to the National Weather Service and AccuWeather. The weather service also has issued a wind advisory for portions of northern Connecticut, central, eastern, northeastern, southeastern, and western Massachusetts, and northern and southern Rhode Island.

Connecticut wind chills are below zero Tuesday morning as the extreme cold will continue this week from an arctic air mass, weather service said.
