Slaton is the seventh WVU player to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He joins Bruce Bosley, Major Harris, Sam Huff, Ira Errett Rodgers, Joe Stydahar and Darryl Talley.

In Slaton’s three seasons with the team, West Virginia went 33-5 and won three bowl games. Slaton is West Virginia’s seventh Hall of Fame inductee and the first since Darryl Talley in 2011.
