With Aaron Glenn finalizing his deal to become the new Jets head coach, the team will turn its attention to more second interviews for the GM job, according to a source. Commanders assistant general manager Lance Newmark interviewed in Florham Park for the job on Tuesday.

Also as a result of their work this season, Johnson and Glenn were named as finalists for this season’s Associated Press Assistant Coach of the Year, as announced by the NFL Thursday. The full list of five finalists for the award are:

Jets defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton and cornerbacks coach Tony Oden are also both under consideration for roles on Glenn’s staff, according to sources.
