After just one season as the 49ers defensive coordinator, Nick Sorensen has been fired and will not be retained on the coaching staff in another capacity according to NBC Sports Bay Area.

"He's a good pro," said Chicago's interim bench boss, Anders Sorensen. "Obviously, been around the league for a long time and had some good insight in terms of ideas, especially offensively.
