One hundred twenty years ago today, Houston residents chose to end the ward system, a way of governance that had divided the city into six wards and ruled Houston since its founding days.

The Fourth Ward Super Neighborhood is looking to reactivate in 2025 after being inactive for an unknown amount of years.
