Freshwater fishing: Spawning bass are feeding like crazy at most spots in Polk County1. In Lakeland, even with the rainy weather, quite a few minnows and assorted jigs were deployed for specks. Wild shiners remain super popular for bass as the weather didn’t deter the fishermen.
