Pakistan’s cricket star Babar Azam has been nominated for the prestigious ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year award. The top-ranked ODI batter, who currently sits at sixth in the T20I rankings, has been recognised for his solid performances over the past year, alongside India’s Arshdeep Singh, Australia’s Travis Head, and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza.

Babar Azam's inclusion has come as a surprise because ICC did not nominate the likes of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah

On Sunday, December 29, the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the nominees for the Men's T20I Cricketer of the Year award. , Sikandar Raza, Travis Head, and Babar Azam were the four cricketers who made the cut.

ICC announced the four nominations for the 2024 Men's T20I player of the year, with some surprising names not listed amongst the candidates.
