Huntington Beach officials under fire after approving a plaque celebrating the city's Central Library anniversary that spells out "MAGA."

In the plaque’s center, the words “Magical.” “Alluring,” “Galvanizing,” and “Adventurous” are stacked on top of each other to spell out the acronym “MAGA.”

KTLA-TV reported that the Huntington Beach Public Library plans to install a $7,000 bronze plaque that in part reads “Magical, Alluring, Galvanizing, Adventurous” as part of celebrations to mark the library’s 50th anniversary.

Despite hundreds of attendees voicing opposition to installing a plaque referencing President Donald Trump at the Huntington Beach Central Library, a city commission voted unanimously to proceed with the gesture.
