A new trailer dropped on the opening day of the New York Comic Con for the new six-episode spinoff series Dune: Prophecy, a prequel to the recent films directed by Denis Villeneuve. The new series will premiere November 17 at 9PM on HBO.

The “ Dune ” prequel series, “ Dune: Prophecy ,” has finally gotten a release date. The first episode will release on HBO and stream on Max on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 9 p.m. The season is made up of six episodes and will release on Sundays.

Prophecy, is set to debut on November 17, 2024, on HBO and streaming on Max. The six-episode series, which takes place over 10,000 years before the events of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune films, will delve into the origins of the Bene Gesserit—an influential order of witches shaping the political landscape of the universe.

At New York Comic-Con on Thursday afternoon, HBO and Legendary Entertainment unveiled the official trailer for Dune: Prophecy along with the show’s release date. The spinoff series, set millennia before Denis Villeneuve’s movies, will premiere on Sunday, November 17 at 9:00 p.m. on HBO and will be available on Max at the same time.
