A cheerleader at the University of Iowa says he will return to cheer after an injury during a basketball game in Iowa City.

Iowa City's six-member city council is holding a special election to fill the vacancy left by Andrew Dunn, who cited mounting obligations with the local labor movement in his resignation last fall.

Minnesota heated up enough to tie the game in the fourth quarter before a late Iowa surge resulted in a 68-60 Hawkeyes’ win. Iowa has won 11 straight in the series.
