The Lakers are in desperate need of a center after the Luka Doncic trade as multiple names have been floated around the league.

The superstar guard, formerly of the Dallas Mavericks, will be introduced as a member of the Lakers during an 11:00 a.m. (CT) news conference on Tuesday. Doncic was traded alongside Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris over the weekend to Los Angeles for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick.

Kristaps Porziņģis, who played alongside Dončić in Dallas for 2 1/2 seasons, sounded as surprised as anyone. Porziņģis said his phone wasn’t working, so he learned about the trade when someone told him about it on the streets of Philadelphia, where the Celtics were in town to meet the Philadelphia 76ers.
