Nick Kyrgios shared some disappointing news as the Australian tennis star is out of his exhibition match with Novak Djokovic due to an abdominal issue. On Thursday, the 2022 Wimbledon finalists were scheduled to meet during the "A Night With Novak" event at Melbourne Park.

Nick Kyrgios has been struck down by yet another injury on the eve of his return to grand slam tennis. The Australian former world No.13 was due to play Novak Djokovic in an exhibition match on Thursday, in the lead-up to his first Australian Open since 2022, but has withdrawn due to an abdominal injury.

The former world No.13 is scheduled to face world No.2 Alex Zverev in the third round but he must first beat Edinburgh’s world No.83 Fearnley. “He took Novak (Djokovic) to four sets at Wimbledon so he’s definitely dangerous and I’ve got a big target on my back,” Kyrgios said.
