Chennai: In yet another tragedy in a fireworks unit in Tamil Nadu, six workers perished and one person was injured in an explosion at Sainath Fireworks in Bommaiyapuram near Sattur in south Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar district on Saturday.

The blast is suspected to have taken place during the process of mixing chemicals and it flattened at least one room and led to the deaths.

Six workers were killed in an explosion on Saturday at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu, an official said, PTI reported.
