Heavy rain persists in eastern New Mexico. Showers likely to continue through Sunday. The rain we have been seeing throughout the day will continue into the early morning hours Sunday. The line of storms stretching from Raton to the southern border of New Mexico continues to bring heavy rain to eastern New Mexico.

Bellingham and the rest of lowland Whatcom County could see heavy rain and possibly damaging winds from a storm on its way from the central Pacific. Meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Seattle have been watching the storm for a week, Anna Lindeman said online.

Showers and some thunderstorms roll through this afternoon and evening, with mountain snow for some overnight.
