Yemen’s Houthi rebels are stepping up their missile attacks, keeping up what could be the last major front in the Middle East wars.

Yemen’s Houthi rebels issued a new threat to Israelis saying they won’t cease anti-Israeli operations. A high-ranking Houthi officials threatened Israelis to go back to places from where they came, if they want to sleep peacefully.

The US military on Tuesday said it hit targets in Yemen targeting the Houthi militia, hours after the Iran-backed group launched attacks on Israel. The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said its warships and aircraft attacked a number of Houthi-linked sites,

Israel’s military says it intercepted a missile fired toward the country by Yemen’s Houthi rebels. The attack set off sirens late Monday in central areas of Israel, including Tel Aviv.

The military said the missile was intercepted before crossing into Israeli territory, but police reported shrapnel from the interception fell in several towns. There were no reports of injuries.

The assault killed at least four people and injured 21 others, the state news agency in Yemen reported. The strikes came after a week of attacks by the Iran-backed militia.

A missile launched from Yemen by Houthi rebels crossed into Israeli territory, prompting air raid sirens in Jerusalem and central Israel. The missile was successfully intercepted by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) with fragments falling near Modiin.
