This year's In Memoriam at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday kicked off with a video tribute to late One Direction singer Liam Payne, who died Oct. 16 after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires.

Liam Payne fans were overcome with emotion as the Grammys paid a heartfelt tribute to the late One Direction star on Sunday, with a special performance from Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Martin, 47, took centre stage in the ceremony’s annual In Memoriam segment, which honours the legendary voices lost over the past year.

The Grammys 2025 honored the ones we’ve lost. The In Memoriam segment featured Chris Martin singing the Coldplay song “All My Love,” as the ceremony honored music stars who died over the past year including Liam Payne and Toby Keith.
