Congress former President Sonia Gandhi has hit out at the centre at the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Thursday evening. Sonia Gandhi attacked the government saying Mahatma Gandhi's legacy is under threat from those in power in Delhi.

Congress is holding its CWC meeting on December 26 and 27 in Belagavi to celebrate the centenary of the 1924 session of the party.

Earlier today, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge accused the BJP of deliberately weakening democratic institutions at the Congress Working Committee's (CWC) "Nav Satyagraha Baithak" in Belagavi, as the party commemorated the centenary of Mahatma Gandhi’s 1924 presidency.
