Mufasa: The Lion King' has been doing well in India in all languages. The Hindi version of the movie which has Shah Rukh Khan's voice over has performed better in India than the English version of the movie.

A strong reception was always expected for such a beloved story, but it is interesting to see the numbers the movie has put up in regional languages.

The Lion King as a prequel to the iconic animated classic within the Indian box office. It did poorly in the US market after getting mixed reviews. However, the film has reached out to Indian audiences largely due to the voiceovers done by Shah Rukh Khan for Hindi and Mahesh Babu for Telugu.
